Another favourite spot! This place has such friendly and welcoming staff. Best yet, we don't know too much about Persian baked goods so the lady gave us a sample. What awesome service to those of us who know nothing lol. To date we have tried the baklava, some cookies, danishes and nuts. I've been to a few Persian spots for some goodies and this is the best I've found in the area. The baklava is to die for - juicy and nutty with crispy/flaky layers. Oh so good.

Atmosphere here always seems quiet when I come here (evenings throughout weekdays and weeknights). I can see this place as a great place to study, meet up with some chatty friends, or just pick up some baked goods. Decor could definitely use an update but I also like this kind of family bakery non-fussy type of vibe.

    Highly recommend:)

First time sitting at a Persian cafe for desserts, and really enjoyed it. We first went into BB Cafe across the street which was small and crowded so we decided to come here instead. Red Roses is a lot more spacious with comfortable seating and great service to  your table.
We tried several items such as the almond and coconut cookies (don't know the exact names for them) which were soft and chewy, the baklava which I find too sweet, the Napolean cake which was flaky and fluffy, and the Persian ice cream with pistachio. My friends and I have never tried the Persian ice cream before so we were curious when it came to our table as it was yellow but it taste like roses, and best of all it wasn't too sweet. Same with the Persian tea that I had ordered, it taste like roses and it went very well with all the pastries. Maybe that's why this place is called Red Roses?

This is probably one of my favorite places to visit. The layout and decor is beautiful. The pastries are so yummy that I always end up leaving with a small box of cookies. If you're looking for a nice quaint place to go to with family or friends or a significant other; this is definitely one to keep in mind.

It's virtually impossible to get any kind of authentic Persian pastries in NY, so whenever I come to Toronto, I pretty much use up all my cheat meals for the year and just indulge in their fabulous zoolbia bamieh. Tastes just as I remember from Tehran. Fresh, sweet, sticky perfection.

My partner (born/bred/raised in Iran) loves the cookies and the rollet, says they're top notch. I'd rather just eat tons of z/b (I can't get enough of the stuff).

Skip the round cakes that are in the display in the front on the left. We got one for my birthday when we were there in April, a chocolate mousse cake. It wasn't delicious and it tasted grocery-store-bought. Our hosts (born/raised in Iran but in Toronto 20+ years) said these are not made on-site but purchased elsewhere and brought here for resale (apparently everyone knows that, but in case you don't!). I wish I had known that before I bought it -- I would have just put a candle in a bamieh instead :)

I've never sat inside so I'm not sure how the table service is or how any of the drinks are. But counter service has always been quick and friendly. They have a good variety of ribbons to tie the boxes up with if you're taking them to someone's home. All our orders of pastries have always come in white cardboard boxes with a "Red Rose Patisserie" sticker on them.

The ice cream is also delicious, per other family members. Love this place! It's a definite must-stop every time we come to Toronto.
